Inspired by her childhood vacations on Alabama’s Gulf Coast, Dr. Lauren H. Lee returned to the area to open her dental practice. Known simply as “Dr. Lauren” by her patients in the Gulf Coast community, she offers a variety of dental services with compassion and genuine concern for her patient’s well-being. Meet Dr. Lauren H. Meet Dr. Lauren H. Lee
Dr. Lauren H. Lee grew up in a small town in Alabama before attending Barnard College of Columbia University, right in the heart of New York City. Although moving from the South to the Big Apple was quite a challenge for a young southern girl, she loved the experience and knowledge she gained. After earning her degree in Biology at Barnard, she journeyed back south to pursue a career in dentistry at the University of Alabama, Birmingham.
During her time in Birmingham, Dr. Lauren earned both the Alabama Dental Association Student Scholarship and the Third District Dental Society of Alabama Scholarship. In the final stages of her dental education, Dr. Lauren traveled to Nicaragua for a dental mission trip. This transformative experience helped to strengthen her love of volunteer work helping those in need. Shortly after returning, she graduated and completed a 12-month Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency.
During this residency, Dr. Lauren learned state-of-the-art dental techniques with a distinct focus on advanced oral surgery procedures. This high-level education included learning techniques for surgical tooth extractions, placing and restoring implants and bone grafting.
To this day, Dr. Lauren maintains her commitment to providing the best dental care available by staying up-to-date on new techniques and advanced technologies. She regularly attends a wide variety of continuing education courses and is an active member in organizations such as the Alabama Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
When Dr. Lauren is not working to expand her knowledge of dentistry or brightening her clients’ smiles, she loves being surrounded by her friends and family. Whether it’s attending events at the Flora-Bama Church, enjoying the beautiful local beaches with her husband, Stephen, or even just baking at home with the company of her two pet rabbits, Boo Bunny and Ollie, Dr. Lauren loves being a part of the Orange Beach Community.
